Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) Driving System Using Vision Sensor and Color Code

Recently, the use of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) at production sites has been increasing due to industrial development, such as introduction smart factories. AGVs utilizing wired induction method, which is cheaper and faster than wireless are mainly used sites. However, guidance AGV operation system disadvantage being limited small-batch or collaboration-based sites, since it difficult change driving route. In this paper, we propose an line-scan algorithm that can perform route recognition, commands, through color-code recognition using Arduino controller a low-cost vision sensor, instead optical sensor conventionally for these functions. When proposed applied car, CMUcam 5 Pixy2 camera identifies path follow by tracking black line Otsu method. addition, be confirmed command executed color code applying function Pixy2.
